Terms of Service

Agreement

These terms apply to the Sentinel website and service provided by Farooq Durrani, trading as Sentinel, Gulberg Greens, Islamabad, Pakistan (“Sentinel”, “we”). By using them you agree to these terms. Your signed order or agreement, if any, takes priority over these terms. If you use Sentinel on behalf of a business, you confirm you can bind that business.

The service

We provide software for businesses, including Sentinel, Vesper, Sentinel Watch and Ember, and we build custom software to order. Access to our products is by invitation. Features and deliverables depend on the plan or proposal agreed with you. We may improve or change features over time and will tell you about changes that materially reduce what you use.

Accounts

You are responsible for the people you invite, the roles you give them, and keeping sign-in details safe. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

Acceptable use

• Do not use Sentinel to send spam or messages customers have not agreed to receive.
• Do not try to break, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
• Do not upload content that is unlawful or that you have no right to use.
• Follow WhatsApp’s and other platforms' rules when messaging customers.

Your data

You own the data you and your customers put into our products. You give us permission to process it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy. You are responsible for having a lawful basis to collect your customers' data and contact them.

Fees

Fees, billing periods and payment terms are set out in your order or proposal. Invoices are due within 15 days. Prices exclude applicable taxes.

Intellectual property

Our products, their software and our brand remain ours. You may not copy or resell them. Ownership of custom software we build for you is set out in your proposal. Feedback you give us may be used to improve our products.

Third-party services

Our products connect to services such as WhatsApp, social networks, delivery apps, payment gateways, POS systems and CCTV recorders. Their terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for their availability.

Liability

The service is provided with reasonable care but without guarantees that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent the law allows, our total liability is limited to the fees paid in the 12 months before the claim, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Ending the service

Either side may end the service as set out in your order. We may suspend access for serious breaches of these terms. After it ends, you can request an export of your data within 30 days, after which it will be deleted.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Pakistan, and disputes go to the courts of Islamabad.
